Make a Wood Pumpkin Basket for Fall
This rustic pumpkin handbasket is perfect for fall decorating! Thanks to the huge selection of unfinished forest cut outs in craft stores you don't need whatever woodworking skills for this project. Simply pair an unfinished forest pumpkin cut out with a wood box, add some texture and paint, and you'll accept this projection done in no time!

- Unfinished Forest Pumpkin Cut Out
- Unfinished Wood Planter or Box
- Crepitation Medium (Deco Art make)
- Orange Pigment
- Renaissance Brown Coat (Deco Fine art brand)
- Forest Gum
View in gallery Footstep one: Use a palette knife to encompass the pumpkin and the box with the texture medium. Permit information technology dry completely. The paste will crackle as information technology dries.
View in gallery Stride 2: Paint over the dried crackle texture with orange pigment. I just did one layer of paint. Don't worry if the paint does not fill all the cracks in the texture paste…we will fix that in the side by side footstep!
View in gallery Step 3: When the orange pigment is dry out, brush the golden dark-brown glaze over the painted surfaces with a soft brush. Use a soft material to wipe back the glaze. This volition leave the coat in the cracks of the texture paste and will assist highlight them. It also helps add to the rustic finish of the basket.
View in gallery Step four: Use the wood glue to adhere the pumpkin to the box. Permit the gum dry completely.

View in gallery There are lots of ways to employ this rustic pumpkin decorative box! For fall decorating I am filling mine with some pretty potted mums. The rustic orange pumpkin is a pretty backdrop for the colorful flowers. For Halloween, you can fill the basket with lots of candies and treats for your guests. It'south a nice culling to a processed dish. Accept fun crafting and creating fall decor!
